Troutman Sanders proudly announces that two firm partners have been named to Public Utilities Fortnightly magazine’s 2010 list of “Groundbreaking Lawyers.”

Kevin C. Fitzgerald, the firm’s Executive Partner, was selected as a groundbreaking lawyer for a second straight year for his work in finance, M&A, and wholesale markets.  Kevin C. Greene, the firm’s Section Chief for public law, was selected as a groundbreaking lawyer for his work in state ratemaking and environmental regulation.

“Fortnightly’s Groundbreaking Lawyers of 2010” includes 34 attorneys who have provided outstanding counsel, services and leadership in industry legal matters. The Groundbreaking Lawyers are drawn from among nominations received in response to a survey of regulators and agency staff; electric and gas company legal staff; and trade associations in the United States and Canada. Fortnightly’s editorial staff evaluates attorneys for recognition based on several factors, including: number of nominations received by the deadline; nominee’s achievements in the context of industry trends, policy developments and case law; previous recognition in the Groundbreaking Lawyers report; and the objectivity of the nominator.

Sincerely,
The Energy Lawyers of Troutman Sanders
